| This ancient saying in
Sanskrit of CHARAKA,
the court physician of King Kanishka in
the First Century A. D. meaning- |
| "Health is at the
root of ethical living, earning. family
life and spiritual striving",
is comparable to the most modern
definition of health adopted by The World
Health Organisation (WHO) of The United
Nations - "A state of complete
physical, mental and social well being
and not merely the absence of disease or
infirmities." |
|
| "
LIFE IS NOT MERELY LIVING, BUT LIVING IN
HEALTH." |
is the ages old ancient answer for our
modern health needs.
So advanced are the concepts and principles of Ayurveda
relating to the promotion and maintenance of health that
several of the "so-called" modern ideas and
thoughts find their roots in these old concepts. Present
day scientists and researchers have been substantiating
through modern research, the validity of the traditional
applications of the Ayurvedic healthcare system. Western
countries are now increasingly patronizing the ancient
time tested all natural herbal dietary supplements of
Ayurveda . According to Ayurveda, the Tridosha,
comprising the three Doshas Vata (Air), Pitta (Fire) and
Kapha (Water), is the main pillar of the human body and
any inequilibrium of this leads to disorders like stress,
fatigue, hypertension, debility, lack of concentration
and many other ailments. Each of these three Doshas
represents a fundamental controlling principle in human
physiology. Ayurveda helps to maintain these three Doshas
in the balanced state. Ayurveda. the oldest and extremely
scientific natural healthcare system known to man, has
represented an over all approach to physical and mental
well being.
